As part of my BA thesis at Aalto University, I designed a visual concept for the ecocritical picture book I'm currently working on. In this project, I focused on format, materials, technique, style, perspectives, and compositions. One of the key principles was to create a visual concept that genuinely respects child as a reader. I was selected to present my work at the online exhibition hosted by Tsinghua University in Beijing.
Aalto ARTS 150
Viivi Kuisma and I designed this visual concept proposal (2021) to celebrate Aalto University's 150th anniversary as part of a school project at Aalto University. It includes various versions of the logo, posters, banners, animations, tattoos and a flip book.
Our proposal was selected to the top three finalists.
Klong!
Klong! is a new, eco-friendly way to have a meditative moment and say hello to your closest. The innovative cellulose mass inside the package enables you to convey your touch and presence wherever you want to. And answering is easy! The whole set, material for you and your closest, is in the same package. In addition you get a cool, changing coaster every time you buy a package. Caring, design and functionality – all in the same package. Just let your body do the talking!
I created this imaginary product, visual concept, and campaign in collaboration with my classmates, Eki Masalin and Norma Lauritsalo as part of a school project at Aalto University. We were invited to present our work via video at the Designs for a Cooler Planet exhibition during Helsinki Design Week 2021.
